  1. It's a sign to Medvedev to retire the soonest the best. It will be good for ball boys n linemen n umpires n tournament committees. Medvedev has given them enough bad days.

  2. Medvedev is the only dude who can beat Alcaraz + Push Sinner to limit & lose first round of Monte Carlo 0-6 0-6 to Berrettini not even 3 weeks after.

  3. In the history of men's ATP tennis (Open Era with official rankings since 1973), a top 10 player has lost a match 6-0 6-0 (double bagel) only 5 times in total.

    • Damir Keretic defeated Yannick Noah (No. 10) 6-0 6-0 in 1983 (Düsseldorf).

    • Ivan Lendl defeated Jimmy Connors (No. 2) 6-0 6-0 in 1984 (Forest Hills, WCT Tournament of Champions).

    • Roger Federer defeated Gaston Gaudio (No. 9) 6-0 6-0 in 2005 (ATP Finals, Shanghai).

    • David Goffin defeated Tomas Berdych (top 10) 6-0 6-0 in 2016 (Rome Masters).

    • Matteo Berrettini defeated Daniil Medvedev (No. 10) 6-0 6-0 in April 2026 (Monte Carlo Masters).

Before 1973 (pre-official ATP rankings), comprehensive and precise statistics on "top 10" players are not as reliable.

In women's WTA tennis, double bagels against top 10 players (and even in Grand Slam finals) have occurred more frequently (e.g., Steffi Graf vs. Natasha Zvereva in the 1988 French Open final).

Retirements, walkovers, or matches at junior/amateur levels are not counted.

  4. Medvedev doesnt have the fire power to hit thru these slow courts and his super flat balls thatbwould normally skid thru the court and cause problems just sit up and slow down upon impact that is why heavy top spin is the answer look at nadal and other great clay court players over the years almost none of them were super flat hitters
