THIS TREND IS RIDICULOUS!

C’mon… playing a damn backbeat is not the most difficult thing in the world.

I understand the idea behind this trend, but give me a break 🙂

  1. We formed a band once (for one night) the drummer was incredible! Fast as hell. When we finally all decided to practice War Pigs he couldn't play the intro. Long story short. The guitarist was a dick and he and the drummer got into it. I messed around with the mic, solo Acapello style, Singing War Pigs alone. Was never a part of a band again (except for my imagination 😊)

  2. For those who want to know why the "Basic" beat is difficult for some drummers like him. First, as we can see, he plays a lot of Heavy Metal, which is a generally extremely fast style of music. This makes his mind, and the minds of some drummers, faster and more creative, but when they have to play the basic beat, they can't do it for very long because they start adding ghost notes, bass drums, etc. Please like this comment 😀

  3. I wrote two very keen essays below and I've been ignored while knee jerk adhoc single sentence comments gather thousands of likes. Im disillusioned by this and cannot understand why I've been ignored. Please someone tell me what I've done wrong. I'm not losing sleep over this but revisiting this chat months after I'm disappointed to not have engaged any response from anyone here and I want to know why that is. Thanks for anyone who can enlighten me , sincerely

  4. Resisting to drum fill a pocket grove is really really hard for most metalheads. I’m still learning drums and I have the urge to double bass immediately when I play a song

  5. You have to make people want to spontaneously need to make people dance. Keeping that pocket unwavering unwavering. With metal you don't have to do it at all and there's much less space between hits. Everything has to be deliberate but relaxed and groove.

  6. The first one is definitely harder, takes way more practice to pull off cleanly. I get playing a restrained four isn't exactly easy, but playing those fast fills and blast beats well takes way practice in my opinion.
