Join us back in the magic for a NEW Walt Disney World Vlog series! ✨ In this travel day vlog we fly Norse Premium Economy from Gatwick (LGW) to Orlando (MCO) Terminal C, check in to our DVC Deluxe Studio at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and enjoy our first day back at Magic Kingdom. We push through the jet lag to maximise Extended Evening Hours for Deluxe resort guests (11am-1am) … was this a good idea on our first day?!? 🥱Watch to find out! 👀

Our adventure begins as we travel to Gatwick and use the long stay park and ride facility with bus transfer to Gatwick’s South Terminal. As Premium Economy customers we get priority check-in and boarding with Norse Atlantic which is really efficient.

Once boarded on the Norse Boeing 787 Dreamliner “longship”, we are impressed with the size, comfort and leg room of our premium economy seats. There’s also a significant recline which bodes well for our return night flight!

After a very comfortable flight, we navigate security and luggage collection at MCO Terminal C and take an Uber to Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort. We locate our Deluxe Studio in the Congress Park area of the resort close to Disney Springs and give you a little room tour before heading back to the Carriage House in search of chicken tenders and fries. To our disappointment, Saratoga Springs does not serve fries with the Chicken Tenders so we make do with house made chips instead.

The next morning we review our travel day and then take the walking path to Disney Springs to browse the shops and end up taking advantage of the special PhotoPass Studio for a photo shoot in the Co-op. Keith tries a new coffee flavour from Starbucks and we share lunch at D-Luxe Burger before walking the long way back to Saratoga Springs via the golf course.

We take the bus to Magic Kingdom where we meet Mickey at the Town Square Theatre and post some special magic mail from the letterbox outside City Hall, before heading to ride Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion.

It’s soon time for our dinner reservation at the Skipper Canteen and we enjoy some refreshing mocktails and a “secret” menu item – the Brazilian cheese bread appetizer. Tracey has the swordfish which is another secret menu item and Keith has the steak. All the food is delicious and the ambiance is fun – if a little loud!

We’re trying to push through for the extended evening hours but we are starting to flag so we decide on some attractions that provide a “nice sit down” such as Mickey’s PhilharMagic, the PeopleMover and Carousel of Progress. As we exit Carousel of Progress, we see Happily Ever After has already started so we grab some seats outside The Lunching Pad and watch the fireworks from there – which is surprisingly effective and enjoyable.

In search of another sit down, we enjoy an great show at the Monster’s Inc Laughter Floor and take up a good viewing spot in front of the castle to watch the spectacular Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away parade.

The park is now officially closed to anyone not staying at a Deluxe resort so we decide to ride Mine Train which turns out to be a 15 minute wait although a much more volatile experience in the dark!

We decide to try our luck with Tron Light Cycle Run but it is a 55 minute wait which the cast member there assures us is accurate so we decide to call it a night and come back to ride Tron another day.

  1. Have been waiting for what seems so long for a new vlog series from cheers ears, I love how relaxed and yourselves you guys are. I will be using your style for inspiration when I do my first vlog series when we return to WDW in august 2026, hopefully camera nerves wont get better of me.

  2. Great to see you back. We've been very fortunate to stay in all the DVC resorts bar Poly & Bay Lake. Stayed for a few nights at the end of our holiday last September at Saratoga and stayed in Congress Park where you were located. Great location for the Springs but not much else. We were actually pixie dusted to a 1 bed. However, have to say it was my least favorite resort. It's got a lot going for it but the oft repeated complaint about the size of resort, just over rides the pros. Forget refillable mugs – such a trek to get it filled. I was shattered by the time I got to the gym – which I agree is very good. The buses were such a chore and I'm a huge fan of the WDW buses.

  3. We’re doing a cruise on the Wish in October and two next year (Destiny and Treasure ❤) at Easter. Other than possibly doing MNSSHP and a day at a water park we’re doing resort only stays.
I think it would be interesting for you guys to do a resort only trip.
Guessing you have AP’s? Maybe you could not renew immediately and do a resort stay?

  4. Ah Im so happy to see you wearing the hoody. They are constantly popping up on my FB feed and I have been really tempted, but they are always showing the jumper and I wanted the zip up. So super stoked to see you have one and to hear your thoughts on it. Glad to hear you both had a fab trip xoxoxo

  5. Keith! Did you really say to take photo of the location sign in the carpark? What you really should have suggested is to pin your what3words location! I’ve been using it for years to pin my car parking spot especially in random fields at festivals where there’s no proper spaces. 🙌🏻

  6. We’re School Bread lovers too! Did you try the new bun in Norway with the lemon curd filling? We saw it on the Flower & Garden menu and can’t wait to try it.
