I have the kids ride shotgun. It’s easy on, easy off and adjusts well. I’ve gone down some mild trails, down hill and road with it with my son at 3 and 4 years old and he did just fine.

I have the Mac ride, its really easy to use and I prefer the concave saddle that my kid seems really secure in.

I have the one in pic 1 with the kid bar attachment on the handlebars. Such a blast.

I’ll just say that we call those child air bags at my shop

У меня был kids ride shotgun с алиэкспресс)) Замечательный опыт. Ребёнок максимально вовлечён в поездку и управление. Можно даже не много похулиганить на тропе. Но осторожно) Но это решение на удовольствия – не для длительных поездок.

Doesn’t matter which brand you get, but get the pro model that attaches to stem and seat post. I have the KRS Pro with the handle bars, and I love it. It comes off in 30 seconds and I can put it on my wife’s bike too. The lower cost model of the KSR blows, is hard to install or take off if you want to go riding, and is just worse in every way. If you ride a lot, the KSR pro is definitely worth the cost.
Edit: I will also add I have over 600 miles of Enduro style downhill (mostly blues) with my son on this and we’ve never had a safety issue like someone else called out in the comments. Your milage may vary though.

I’m on my third kid and still using the same Mac ride I got almost a decade ago. Love it.
I do recommend getting the Shotgun handlebars though. I just did this season and wish I didn’t wait so long. Makes their experience better having a real grip to hold on to.

I have the Mac ride. It’s been great, no issues. Never tried any of the shotgun seats, but I didn’t want anything directly on the frame.

MacRide all day, the OG.
Much better seat, keeps the kid planted.

Mac ride for sure. The seat is a better shape to keep your kid in one place.
I rubber wrapped my handle bars so my son could hold on better.
Don’t do drops or jumps, (even small ones) the landing is too hard to hold on for the kids, but flowy banked trails are perfect. We’d lap half Nelson in Squamish on it. Ride within your ability, and it’ll go well.
