



old friend of mine give me his old fat bike(we do live in the middle of nowhere, so dirk track is base). Now I need help to figure out how to fix this thing. first problem is what model is this derailleur. this one is deformed and I need new.

It’s a front derailer, but did it mount to the bottom bracket? I don’t think I’ve seen one like that before. Your needs are 2 fold. 1 get one to mound somewhere somehow (probably a seatube clamper) and 2 get one that the pull ratio on your shifter matches. A picture of the bottom bracket would be helpful, and the shifters you hope to use. Edit: another option what exactly is wrong, like, how is it deformed, might be able to bend it back into shape.
You have a Shimano E-type front derailleur. Someone on there, it will be stamped with a part number, and you should be able to use that to figure out preciously which type of replacement you need.
It’s possible you don’t need an E-type FD and that a regular clamp-on FD will work, but without seeing the bike, it’s hard to say. Either way, it’s a pretty easy fix.
Puedes sustituirlo por uno de abrazadera común si tu cuadro lo permite. Es importante que revises 1) si tu desviador es de tirón superior o inferior 2) el número de velocidades y 3) la línea de cadena para que no golpee el cuadro cuando bajes al plato más chico. Los desviadores frontales son muy flexibles con el ratio de tiro, no vas a tener problemas en hacer cualquier tipo de mezcla.
