I just ordered a new wolf tooth oval chaining for my shimano xt m8100 groupset. my bike is boost spacing. it looked like the stock chainring was 0mm offset but I could be wrong. I noticed the chain line is quite diagonal in the largest cog. Im wondering if it actually is a 3mm offset that I need. Which brings me to the issue that it doesnt look like wolf tooth makes a 30t 3mm offset chainring for shimano direct mount. Anyone else run into this issue? Do i just need to get a different brand?

Here is a link to the chainring I installed:

They make a 3mm offset, it’s just out of stock. 30t is also really small for modern mtb gear ranges, the lower height of the 30t will make for a more aggressive chainline angle no matter what the offset is. We need more info to know if it’s correct. What’s the bike, crank, BB, and drivetrain you’re running?
