First Ride of the Season/New* Bike Day

After a long winter, spending many hours on the trainer, I finally made it outside. And, I could not be happier with my new *(I purchased this bike in the middle of fall, where it was already too cold to ride) Madone SL 5 Gen 8!

I've never had a bike like this before and almost immediately, I could feel the difference from my old 2013 $500 road bike. Going from a Sora gear set to the 105s was night and day, aluminum to carbon, the explosiveness on short bursts, the comfort, the SPEED(!) and of course, the color! All of it. At some point, I'll upgrade the wheel set, but for now, the Paradigm rims will do 🙂 Looking forward to many more rides this summer/beyond and triathlon season. Happy riding!
