After his mother passed away, my friend Erwin gave me his childhood bicycle, as he's too old to ride anymore. His mother had kept it in her basement for the last 29 years. He told me she saved up for a year to buy it for him back in 1971.
I pumped up the tires and gave it a quick inspection; there are only a few minor things to do, and it's in really good condition.
