Southend Shakedown 2026… and yeah, it didn’t exactly go as planned.
First big bike meet of the year, the weather was finally good, and we headed down as a group just to enjoy the ride.
Everything was going perfect… until I got pulled over.

In this video you’ll see what Southend is actually like, the ride down, the mess, the traffic, the bikes, and what people don’t really show online.
It’s fun, don’t get me wrong… but it’s not always as simple as it looks.

Let me know if you’ve been to Southend Shakedown before 👇

  1. You know what I love equally as much as motorcycles? Motorcycle friends. Especially sport bike riders. I made more friends in my 2 years of riding than I did all through college.

  2. Unfortunately same of your riding .is not very good at all. Under taking plus speeding. Enjoy riding with your mates . But keep it safe. We all blame car drivers not looking out for us on bike. Ride safe so you can ride again tomorrow.

  3. I have a lot of time and respect for the Plod… they'll be the ones who get to walk along the verges picking up parts of you (to return to your family), and washing/sweeping your bodily fluids from the road surface, if it all goes wong. Like Paramedics, they see things every sane human being really, really doesn't want to see. If they're giving you advice about the bike or how you are riding, listen up and take heed. They're not doing it for fun, but because they've seen how badly it can end.

  4. Sitting in traffic and reving the tits off yr bike grow up I've been riding bikes for over 30 years and respect traffic around me makes you all look like bunch of rebels

  5. As a motorcyclist your outlook on bike riding (and those on your group) is quite disturbing. No wonder the public in general have a negative attitude towards us. The roads are meant to be for getting from A to B. Your little group is riding with one hand, riding with no hands, lane splitting at high speed, undeteaking, lane hogging, standing on the footrests (usually done off-road),. I only watched about 2 minutes of the clip, I couldn't watch anymore. Please do real motorcyclists a favour and either 1, Use your bikes on a track, or 2, sell them to someone with some sense. Honestly makes me want to give my bike up and I've rode one for the last 47 years. The work of the Road Policing is bad enough without jokers like you making fools of yourselves.

  6. Maybe you should re-take your bike test after that poor performance, its a shame most bikers with high powered machines are way to scared for a track day 😂

  7. Not sure how old you are but I think without being rude you do need to be more responsible on the road…not sure how your accident happened to destroy your helmet but riding like this is crazy….as others have said if your mirrors were out as intended then you would of seen the police bike behind you, also listening to music is another way to be unaware of your surroundings…..then there is the dangerous riding which you may not consider dangerous but did look like it to me….but I understand excitement of getting out and blowing off steam…but in the right places..

  8. Most of you commenting all this nonsense consider yourselves riders?
Complaining about mirrors, music, police, and so much more??

Everyone listens to music while riding. Everyone lane splits and speeds on straights because most of you, old and new generations and A to B commuters, know what you’re doing. And spreading shit around like you are, does that make you any better??? This is disgusting and very different from constructive criticism!!

Starting with how long you’ve been riding means nothing. It doesn’t make you better or give you a higher status. Based on the comments above, it just makes you look like you’ve passed through life for nothing. Then you complain that “this unacceptable riding makes riders look bad”?

WAKE UP! YOU WERE ALL THE SAME OR WORSE!

It was a bike meeting, with bikes passing through that city in and out for decades! All of you have been doing that!!!! Everyone knows what Southend Shakedown is about. You could see people in cars smiling, not swearing, not because of the noise, but because of the bigger picture: bikes and riders!

So to all of you that have shared this unnecessary “wisdom”, enjoy your poor sausages and beans with coffee-flavoured water somewhere else, maybe at your Sunday “caff”.

    Disgusting people.
    Disgusting.

Great video by the way! Very entertaining.

  9. You need to grow up people like you give proper bikers a bad name if you want to draw attention keep blipping your throttle when the police are about then you will draw more friends than you have ever had and perhaps the right ones I'm sure.

  10. pity the policy enforcers are out collecting revenue and not fighting real crime. Typical they are out to spoil your day! Looked an amazing gathering of the gladiators. Very envious from my side, as not out on mine! 😥
