I'm still working on my full review of the C-line, and in the mean time did something silly (the G-line), but I wanted to pop in and say how wonderful it is to just drag your bikes into a restaurant rather than deal with locking it up (in a city both beset by thieves and woefully lacking in bike securing options). They didn't even give us a second glance – something I've noticed with the C-line everywhere. I had some doubts about the G, but nope, no issues yet (just got it yesterday).
That's in Usera in Madrid, by the way.
Oh, and update – got lights (Magicshine VTG) for the C-line, swapped the pedals for ultralights. Still loving it, but having a bit of creaking now that I must figure out because…
We're planning a trip! Hence the 2nd Brompton. My partner and I are planning to take the train down to a coast – either Huelva (end in Gibraltar) or Valencia (end in Cartagena) next week, as we both have a lull in work, and just bike down in this lovely spring weather. Not going to attempt camping on this trip (technically illegal here, and we're wimps), but there are tons of options on the coasts here in Spain.
I'm sure I'll pop back in for some questions before we leave. Got all the gear already – extra chain, some spare parts, extra tubes and a repair stuff, and so on. Got bags – Vincita Nash for the rear, Brompton Metro + Vincita Birch for the fronts – and both potential routes planned.
