Hi all, I just bought this beautiful frame off of Marketplace. It’s a Tigra, 531c steel, not much info I could find about the company other than that it’s a Swiss brand.

I’m building a bike for the first time and I want to do this frame justice while keeping in mind my biking style and preferences. I live in a flat city area and will use this bike for both commuting and longer rides, and a light bike is important to me (~20lbs).

I have a Tiagra 2×10 groupset that I’m planning to take off my current bike, and just bought some silver Mavic Kysrium wheels. I’m also considering converting to a 1x 42t setup because the 34x50t doesnt feel right to me- small chainring is too small and large is too large. I’m thinking compact drops, Nitto quill stem, I have a seatpost and Flite saddle.

Does this sound like a ridiculous setup? If you were building this bike, how would you do it? I’m trying not to pour more than $400 my remaining question marks on this bike which includes handlebars, stem, crankset and tires.

Thanks for your help!
