I wanted to try a pair just to give my hands and arms a different position on my commute.
Searching marketplace I found a bike for $5 that had a pair. Deal! I bought the bike, took the bar ends, replaced the hand grips with a new pair I had, gave it a quick tune and a wash and sold it the next day for $15. Covered the purchase price of the bike and the cost of the grips.
