I need a reliable bike that will get me to and from work (2 miles) and could potentially ride in some light snow as well (but ill likely just take the train when that happens). This one seems decent and doesnt seem to have any glaring issues with rust.

I cant tell what the make is, but it seems to be a Brooklyn Roebling based on Google AI matches. I'm seeing it go for $500-$600 brand new online. Is it worth buying?

Looks like a reasonable price and perfect for your use case. I’d go for it if I were in your position.

Pros: Looks like good condition on wear parts. The 1x drivetrain will be easy to keep running smoothly and learn to maintain yourself, and as a personal preference is something I’m in favor of, especially for this short of a commute. That’s hard to find at this price point (a lot of 3x bikes out there), so is the key feature that I think differentiate this bike from what you’re otherwise likely to find.

Cons: The listed weight of 30lbs is a bit hefty. If you wind up getting and liking the bike, I’d consider upgrading seatpost, crankset, and/or fork in order to cut a bit of weight. Could probably knock off 5lbs for $150 or so (or less if you find good used parts). Fork will be the hardest thing to upgrade in terms of compatibility, but offer the biggest weight savings if you find a full carbon fork that’s compatible.
