Southend shakedown 2026 ! and what a day for it, bring on the Harleys the sport bikes , the scooters, adventure bikes, the classic motorcycles, the choppers , its a day where everyone comes together. The sun is shining, I was up at 6am and was the first motorcycle to arrive. Saw some old faces and met some new ones. that’s what it’s about. my ears are still ringing. but what a cracking day. #motorcycle #southend #biker

Spending unfortunate time off my bikes due to injury..not bike related..im stuck at home watching everything harley davidson..just bought a beautiful 96 twin cam..rode it once and now i cannot for forseable future..
Any how myself and my mrs run a great biker group in Suffolk..shes..ex club..
Made up of some true legends and characters they hit the road for Southend monday and had a fantastic time…
Ive seen a few clips locally on the site but this fantastic presentation captured everything i needed to see..

This need that riders have to congregate en mass with other riders has always seemed very odd to me. It's like a primeval herding instinct..We like to think of ourselves as going against the grain and being more independent, but we're not. We yearn to be a part of the lumbering herd of mindless sheep

Yep I was there you even managed to catch me on your video. As I said to one of my fellow bikers the last time that I was at Southend on a motorbike was 1964 when the mods and rockers had a go at each other. Glad to see that nowadays we can get along together. Only thing that spoilt it for me was the constant reving of engines. I know that I am an old fart but really is there any need for it. Great day out and glad that I am still able to ride my bike. There is nothing to compare. They are an addiction that I am glad to suffer from.

Love the video of the surf end shakedown I normally would go but south end council have made it so welcoming always used to be there for the last Saturday in a month from my 50 cc to now my litre bike By the looks of your video it wasn’t at full capacity. No meet there loads more there. It must be down to safe and cancel and police for making it so welcoming. But like to thank you once again for doing this video and getting up so early.
