Muc-Off is a cycling and motorcycling’s care and maintenance household name. The brand was founded in 1994 when Rex and Marylin Trimnell, owner of X-Lite at the time, needed a cleaner they could rely on to keep their bikes clean and corrosion-free. After designing and manufacturing the world’s first twin crown bicycle fork, Rex created a perfectly pink spray to clean his kit and it wasn’t long before word got out and Muc-Off was born. 25 years later and Muc-Off has developed its product range to include every bike cleaning solution imaginable alongside a huge range of tour-winning lubes, bike protectant sprays and a whole lot more. With some of the best athletes in the world crash-testing our products and providing valuable feedback to Muc-Off’s team of expert product developers, you can rest assured that your bike is in good hands.

  1. For anyone saying no thanks i'd use tubes, said the same thing myself until i tried tubeless, its not without its difficulties like seating the tyre but once you get the knack it's far more practical than tubes.

  2. I tried Muc off tape but decided against it. IMHO it's too thin and isn't stiff enough to stay in place. I had failures so I'm gonna try DT Swiss tape. Muc off sealant is good and that's what I use.

  3. And when the glue from the tape oozes around the tyre bead so the tyre is welded to the rim live in the hope you don't get a puncture too big for the sealant or you are walking, tubeless is evolution going backwards.

  4. Should the tape have contact with the dent (deepest part) of the rim?
Should i make a very small hole or a normal on the tape to the valve?

  5. I setup my first tubeless yesterday and it went way better than expected. I was a little worried about air trapped under the tape but mine looked similar to the video, I just made sure all the edges were smooth and any air was around where the spoke holes where. I fitted some Teravail Oxbow 27.5×3's on Velocity Duallys. They were a tough squeeze but made me confident they were gonna seal good. Aired them up, pulled the valve core, added some Muc-off and been holding up fine.

  6. Just installed one of your MTB kits. It is working brilliantly! Any plans to do fat tire ebike/moped kits? Needs >50mm wide tape and a lot more sealant.

  7. Hi kids, I'm here to tell you that life is a lot better when you don't buy sh*t you don't really need to impress people you don't really like. Also, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

  8. All these "premium" brands go to the trash bin, when you discover 3M 8898 at 5usd for 50meters, perfectly elastic, more durable than any tubeless tape on the market.
