I bought this B72 in “brand new” condition off fb marketplace. Seat sandwich was new and sealed.
The metal pieces don’t snap into the rails as shown in their YouTube installation video and it looks like there is too wide a gap between the rails. This causes the metal pieces to fall right through.
I’ve emailed Brooks but what do you think? Did I get bamboozled with a defective B72 or am I missing something with my installation?

I remember when there really *was* a seat sandwich (one piece of aluminum that sat between the upper and lower clamps of a conventional seatpost–I don’t think it was actually made by Brooks, though). I was rather surprised when Brooks brought out their current technology–it looks too complex to work properly, but I hope you do succeed.
Yep doesn’t seem to be correct. Wonder if one is a phony?
