06 April 2026: A Ride, A Conversation & A Different Reality | Southend Shakedown 2026, England 🇬🇧
We started the day with excitement for Southend Shakedown… but it slowly turned into something much more simple—and special.
In this MotoVlog, I first meet my friend Arastus, an experienced rider I connected with through YouTube. We planned to meet at Tim Hortons near Lakeside (Grays) and ride together to the famous Southend Shakedown.
Before heading out, we sat down and had a great conversation about Shakedown, bike culture, and what makes these rides so special. Normally, many riders start from the iconic Ace Cafe London as part of the tradition—but this time, we started our journey from Grays.
From there, we rode through scenic Tilbury routes towards Southend-on-Sea, excited to experience the full Shakedown vibe.
However, things didn’t go exactly as expected…
Access to the main road near the pier—where most of the action happens—was blocked, and traffic was diverted towards the quieter side of the beach. While we still enjoyed the ride and the atmosphere, it wasn’t quite the full experience we were hoping for.
But in the end, that’s what riding is about.
Good conversations, shared moments, and meeting amazing people along the way. Riding with Arastus and spending that time together made the whole day worth it.
Sometimes, it’s not just about the destination…
it’s about the people you ride with.
