Hi, I'm leaving July 2nd by train, going as far north as I can, to Narvik. From there I have 5 weeks ahead of me to get back home. I don't think, and certainly don't want to be under pressure to get all the way back by bicycle. The plan is to take my time, enjoy the ride, and probably finish back on a train, which is why I'm starting in Norway, that's where I really want to ride.
The route above is what Eurovelo suggests, Narvik isn't in it's database so I put the closest point it would accept, which is Melbu, but I will be riding from Narvik through the Lofoten to start, then follow EuroVelo 1 to Trondheim. After that we'll see. I would like to stay off pavement as much as possible.
I think I will get a 3 month subscription to Cycle Norway to see what is sugested in the South of Norway, but I have to wait till early May so I'll have access throughout my trip.
Anyone have experience, suggestions along this route (more or less) ?
Thank you for your comments,
Damien
