So I’m working on a friends FX+2 and the front brake is giving me an obnoxious squeal, I’ve already cleaned, sanded and re-cleaned the pads and rotor. The brakes are Promax F1’s any help would be greatly appreciated.
The rotor and pads are possibly contaminated from a previous fluid leak. I just bought a used fx2 with the terrible Rush brakes and they squealed like crazy and barely worked no matter how hard i squeezed the levers. These bikes are notorious for coming with junk brakes during the supply chain issues a few years back. Not sure if those brakes are any good but i believe the fx2 was spec’d with tektro. Anything besides that is probably low quality.

New pads, clean the rotors with isopropyl alcohol
