Your thoughts on my setup?
Koga Worldtraveller s-classic 2023
Total weight of all bags: 28kg
Going full (wild) camping so I want to be as self sufficient and comfortable as possible but contemplating on whether I’m too heavy loaded.
Going through Holland, Germany and Switzerland.

what is the BIG bag?
I feel like whatever that big bag is is too big.
i feel like main triangle frame area would be better utilized for stuff than one pump and bottle.
and ditto on that rear bag, with 4 panniers, whats in there?
Looks like you’re packing heavy .
Safe journey…take pics and report in 👍
nah I think you need suspensions for this long of a trip
Have you tried this setup before? The big bag seems that it will affect handling and the weight is kinda high for a trip like that. In my opinion atleast
Looks great except for the 7-man tent.
Oh wait, it’s a sleeping pad. Get a smaller one for the love of ….! 😀
Wild camping is illegal in all of those countries. Not that its impossible but maybe not with a 8+ person fortress of a tent
You’re for sure going to learn what you need and what you don’t on this one! You can always ship stuff back home if you decide against it as you go. The tiny water bottle and the giant pad are hilarious though. I support this. Your legs will adapt and you’ll be fine.
28 kg in just bags????? I would strooongly recommend you do a 2 day trip beforehand to test what you need and what you don’t need. My first setup also weight 50 kg… Never did that again.
This is my 26kg load, I definitely recommend putting more weight on the front, for both maneuverability and rear end lifespan. And generally you want the weight to be in the triangle if possible, or at least centered around it.

It’s a bit heavy to steer at first, especially at low speeds, but boy did I conquer some terrain with it. I can’t imagine having such an overhang at the rear, even if it’s relatively lightweight.
Why do you have your bottle on your handlebars? Just use the bottle cages.
and please tell me that other thing on your bars is not a bluetooth speaker.
That sleeping pad is ridiculous.
And what’s up with the stem?
Be careful this setup is actually illegal in germany (no joke). The bag isnt allowed to be longer than the tire. You need to hang a brighr orange flag from the bag or you can be fined 300 euros
I would advise Cristophe traditional straps on pedals. You can use regular shoes with them and you’ll pedal much better. I’m not shure if front mud guard or kickstand will be of use for you, and they weight, can break, and will. All the mud jumps to you from rear wheel and the bike stands much better putting the rear wheel against anything on hand. You’ll need super short gears and be ready for a chain break with quick links and a chain breaker in you multitool. Also have patches instead of more than a single spare tube. If your bike is normal you’ll have parts avaliable easily from monday to friday in every village.
With that kind of weight, I would expect you to be bringing a small chair as well. Which I would recommend, the small Helinox. I was so glad to be able to sit down instead of on the floor during my trips after a long day of cycling.
Really nice bike, hope you have been test-riding with the weight as well 🙂
Sure my sleeping pad was expensive but I sleep just as good on it as my regular mattress and takes up the space of a Nalgene
get a bike fit from a physiotherapist
post inventory of what’s in them bags
This is wrong on sooo many levels I don’t know where to start with.
But you probably already know since you’re planning 5 weeks for 2000km in countries mostly flat.
Oh, Switzerland! So that’s why you’re bringing the small hadron collider.
Nice bike, good luck! Send us some photos of the trip!
Bringing that ridiculous sleeping pad just to get woken up by cops at 6am is absolutely insane
Dropping off rifles to the Eagles Nest?
Your setup is yours. Go rip some shit.
I usually pack 10 kg including 3 liters of water and my bike feels so much heavier on climbs, can’t imagine almost triple that.
Can you show a picture of the cockpit? I don’t understand where is your stem
Also I personally wouldn’t use that type of kickstand for that heavy of a load. You could damage the frame.
You are taking your appartment with you?
