About 10 years ago, the Vennbahn, one of Europe’s longest railway cycling routes, was opened. This 125 km route leads from Germany via eastern Belgium to the north of Luxembourg. The special feature of the popular Vennbahn Trace is not only its cross-border character, but also its status as an overall tourist product with its own branding.
This 10-year success story was commemorated in cross-border celebrations, also to strengthen awareness of its special significance in the long term.
