Hey everyone,
I’m currently on a cycling trip in Mallorca with my Aeroad and had some bad luck during a coffee stop: another (German) tourist accidentally knocked my bike over.
I’ve got her contact details in case the damage turns out to be more serious.
The main issue is at the rear dropout on the brake side, right where the thru axle goes through. It looks like a chip/scratch, but I’m not sure if it’s just cosmetic or something structural.
So my questions:
• Is damage in that area typically a concern, or usually just cosmetic?
• Would you keep riding it or get it checked immediately?
• Any way to clean it up or make it look better?
If anyone has experienced something similar (especially with carbon frames like the Aeroad), I’d really appreciate your input 🙏
