I’m building up a Surly Lowside frameset. Brakes are Hayes Dominion A2s and Hayes 203mm rotors.
I bought front and rear IS mount to post mount adapters (also Hayes). Got the rears dialed in no issues but I can’t even get the wheel in the fork with the front adapter. Pic of clearance is included.
Surly lists the frameset as 203mm compatible and I checked with the shop (online) I bought the rotors and adapters from and they said these were the right adapters for the Lowside. The front adapter is almost 2x as wide as the rear and doesn’t look like it would fit in the rear either.
Kind of at a loss. Hub spacing is correct etc., but I feel like there’s something I’m missing. Any ideas?

that one looks very big?? (Wide)
You got a fat one. Made for different application
I can’t remember ever seeing a legitimate adapter of that width. I could only recommend going to a local bike shop & letting them sort through their bin of adapters to find something that works.
That adapter ain’t right
If I had to guess I’d say that’s for a scooter or e-moto setup.
