Hi all. I'm a begginer when it comes to repairing anything on a bike but I recently replaced my brake cables and front brake pads (I have V brakes)
The bike breaks much better now however when I inspected the old brake pads I noticed that they didn't wear evenly (as you can see from the pictures).
I never messed with those brakes apart from dissengaging them to take the wheel off a few times so I'm not sure why that is.
In the pictures below you can see that the rear part of the brake somehow wore much more.
When replacing the pads I followed a YouTube tutorial but I'm not sure if this type of problem will happen again since I'm not sure if theres even an adjustment to fix this.
What advice could you give to a begginer (who's trying to learn) with this problem ?

That’s a good thing, it’s called toe in
If you don’t set your pads up like that, they will squeal when you apply them.
It could be a few things, but odds are it’s the toe. Toe is whether you angle the front or rear of the pad in towards the rim, or you keep it all level. Some people will give the pads some toe in at the front to try and avoid squealing when braking. You can do this or not, but it’s not essential. Uneven wear is not uncommon either. It’s a good reason to semi-regularly inspect your brakes and adjust if necessary.
