I hate when cars drive in the middle of the road. I am curious if you all think this person is a bad driver and doesn't know the width of their vehicle or was genuinely trying to not hit the puddle😂? Yes I should not have swung my hand at their mirror, that was childish of me.

I think it’s entirely possible they were just avoiding the puddle. It looks like you had some room on the right to move over to reestablish the buffer. Not saying you should have to, but it looks like you ride like I do and try to accommodate for dipshits out there.
As for the swing…I blame Pantera. I listen to them on hilly sections to get pumped.
You make cyclists look bad. This driver had no idea why you swiped at them.
Not necessarily a bad driver. Could be worried about what lies beneath the surface of the puddle (a big pothole, for example).
Hydroplaning could be on their mind too, but they weren’t going fast enough for that to be a real issue.
Yeah looks like puddle dodging. Seems like they gave enough room but sometimes things can feel closer in person

Even with the car driving around the puddle, he left you plenty of space. If you cannot handle this, stay off of public roads.
I’ve seen hundreds of reddit threads blaming cyclists when they have the right of way. This is probably the first time I’ve looked at a bicyclist’s video and gone, “Yeah, you’re the asshole here.”
I have 3x the miles on my bikes as I do in my car, but you’d better believe I’d be dodging the puddle in my car as well. My suspension is stock, but I’ll still end up scraping my undertray if I hit a bump or pothole too fast. Avoiding the massive puddle is a safety thing since you can’t see what might be lurking under. They tried to make sure you still had as much space as possible.

You have no idea what’s in the puddle. Could be fine, could be massive hole, could be box of roofing nails. I’d avoid if possible and looks like there was plenty of room.

So… y’know when you are in a car and an oncoming car is passing a bicycle, so you move to the outside of the lane to give that car space to give to the bicycle?
