I’m a bit confused about the front of my bike. There are these air suspension looking things around and I was wondering if they’re part of the suspension system or something else.
Do they need to be refilled or maintained in any way, or are they just normal tubes in the fork?
Sorry if this is a basic question, I’m still learning how this stuff works. Thanks!

That’s a coil fork.
If it’s an air suspension fork, then yes, it does need to be maintained and regularly serviced. Find the model number and google “MODEL Service Manual”. Then start looking on YT for people demonstrating how to service the fork. You’ll have to buy some replaceable parts (e.g., wipers), some CORRECT shock oil and a few tools. Or you could just take it to a bike shop and ask them if they can service that model.
Nope, a Preload adjuster means you have a steel spring, and you can only adjust it by preloading it, compressing it so it becomes a bit harder to compress it further. Air forks do not have preload adjusters, but at least one air valve (maybe 2, depending on how the negative spring is implemented), usually a Schrader valve that you can adjust with a shock pump.
That is not an air fork. That preload is to make the spring harder by going clockwise or softer by going anti-clockwise.
