bought this bicycle at a yard sale for 50 bucks the other day. thought i could just replace the tires and start riding it, but apparently not. idk if i installed the wheel incorrectly but was hoping u guys could help. this thing is old as hell and im pretty sure hasnt been used in years. i think she's cute though. im also a complete nube so maybe it's best if i just take it to the local bicycle shop??

    You didn’t do the axle nuts tight enough. Loosen them, straighten the wheel and really crank them down as much as you can

  2. Pull the rear wheel axle back all the way and crank those bolts down.

    The whole bike probably needs to be looked at so your next ride doesn’t produce another similar problem.

    Do you own a torque wrench by chance? If so try maybe 25 nm and see how that goes. If not, like the other person said, crank em down. But don’t go overboard with a breaker bar or anything.
