RegularPollution4691 on April 10, 2026 9:32 am I have a 2006 Scott S20 CR1 with a Shimano 105 5600 10-speed drivetrain (11–28) and 52–36 chainrings. I need to switch to a lower gearing setup for mountain riding, but an 11–32 cassette doesn’t fit (I already have to reverse the B-screw). Would you recommend changing the chainrings, or instead using a derailleur hanger extender and switching to an 11–32 cassette? Of course, I could change the whole groupset, but I don’t have a large budget for this upgrade.
