today we’re out in the Peak District for a day of climbing up some of the UK’s most brutal climbs. 80km | 1500m including Bamford Clough and Winnats Pass. How hard can it be?

  1. cameras make everything look flat. I installed a blend of 2x up front (33-46) and sram XPLR cassette (10-44) on the back for these kinds of gradients…not officially supported by SRAM but works fine if you get the chain length right. Lowest gear for this stuff I have is a 33/44 gear which has been ample so far….though I havnt tested it on something over 25%….also, as you probably know, riding in diagonals helps alot, but I found the steepest stuff is never wide enough to do that.

  2. Looks brutal, especially when that new road you're joining up to Bamford edge is such a lovely climb. Hardknott Pass is meant to be a tough one too if you're ever in the lakes!

  3. Loved it again Dan! Hit me inspired to have a go a winnats on Sunday if the weather isn't arse. Just need TBattie to say he'll plod up with me now.
    Big up the gang!

  4. Gotta say videos like this one and the Anglesey vid are some of my favourite on the channel. Just some nice casual rides in some of the most beautiful places of the UK. Absolute top tier mate!
