The racing season continues.
In Episode 6 of Closing the Gap, we follow Vyaan at the Bath Road Club Junior Series on 20th July. Titled “Crossing the Line”, this episode shows what it takes to compete in a flat, fast 115km race over 5¾ laps where nerves, positioning, and speed all matter.
At 6 foot 3 and one of very few brown riders in junior cycling, Vyaan stands out on and off the bike. This episode explores the challenges of underrepresentation in the sport, the mental strength required to race at this level, and how Team PAU supports young riders to break barriers and reach their potential.
From pre-race preparation to the final sprint, Crossing the Line captures the focus, determination, and excitement of British junior road racing.
The flag drops. The race begins.

I had the pleasure of meeting Vyaan at a race he did with my son last summer – already thought he was a gent but after watching this it's just confirmed my suspicions – he's one tough kid and a proper example of sportsmanship – well done Team PAU
That’s my cousin ❤❤❤
losing the gap has been an excellent series. High quality produciton and well worth viewing. Recimmended for parents and youth riders. Now we just need an equally good series focussed on young women.."
