My dad recently passed. He was obsessed with biking. In 2024 he did the Maratona in the all black Pinarello. When he was 21 he did a cancer ride from Seattle to New Jersey. He left behind a bunch of bikes that I can’t keep. I recently did a post asking about his Bianchi. These are the other bikes he had. I’ve decided to keep the Bianchi, but where would be the best place to get the most value out of these bikes? Thank you!

For ease of sale I’d bring to a local bike shop, they’re nice enough that they will probably take them. For best value, they are some really really nice bikes so I would try and appraise them & list on Craigslist/etc.

That being said, I’d buy that Litespeed or the black pinarello. If you’re willing to ship (nyc area) feel free to DM me.

If at all possible don’t sell them. These are very beautiful bikes. There a quite a few nice bike. You could get a decent amount of money. It all depends on how built up and shape of them.

My condolences on your father’s passing. Never easy.

I can’t tell you what the bikes are worth but he seemed like a fucking cool dude and a helluva cyclist. Some very nice bikes in that collection.

I’m sorry about your dad passing. You can sell them all on Facebook marketplace, but it will be harder to do a good job selling them if you don’t know anything about bikes. Each bikes value will all be a range depending on location and luck and timing. When you sell used bikes, the same exact bike could sell for $1800 or $3200 depending on if there is the right buyer for it where you live at the time you list it. A local bike shop might be able to take them if they buy used bikes (many don’t), but they will usually pay less.

Sorry for your loss. Your dad was a beast and kept his bikes properly slammy until the end. Dude stayed limber

These are all high end and a bunch are even pretty recent.

The the Pinarello Dogma(?) and Grevil could probably fetch $4-$5k. Those were probably 5 figure bikes new and are still current.

The SWorks is probably a $3k bike (that again was probably $10k 4 or so years ago when it was new) It’s last generation but has nice parts on it

That ti mtb is pretty wild as well. Not familiar but all the parts are top of the line

The trek TT bike and trainer Pinarello might get $1000-$1500 simply because they’re outdated. Try to get $2k

List high if you’re looking to get money back for these. I’m just saying what they’d be likely to sell for in my local market after haggling, etc

  6. The grevil is a 2023 and retailed for ~5k. it’s a 3k bike now. Mech ekar in 2023 was not a 10k bike

  7. My condolences for your loss. He had great taste in bikes and you should try to keep as much as you can.

I’m interested in the litespeed if you are interested in selling and depending on the size.

  8. All complete I think the Pinarello F12, the Grevil, and the S-Works would go for $2.5k-$3k. The Scott is in line with that but that’s a nasty chip on the top tube. I would verify that frame is safe.

If you want the honest to god best value you would need to part out the remaining bikes. If that is too much of a hassle…

Trek TT bike $2k-$2.5 from a newbie time trialer.

Pinrello Dogma and the 27.5” MTB $1k-$1.5k

    Litespeed $800-900. As is $600.

Sorry for your loss man. I lost my dad recently too. It sucks. I can help with the bikes as I work in a shop and deal some of these brands.

    * Pinarello Dogma F12, 12 speed Campagnolo Super Record, Enve 4.5 SES. This is a *very* nice bike, though slightly dated. This is also quite possibly the best mechanical shifting ever made, or every will be made. I’d put the value at about $5000, maybe more if you can find a guy who really wants Campagnolo.
    * Specialized S-Works Tarmac SL6 (I think, not totally sure), and I think it might be custom painted. Good DT Swiss wheels, with Shimano Dura-Ace 9120. Great bike, I’d put the value around $2500-3500, kind of depends on your market. That power meter is a really nice touch and this group set is hard to find and desirable.
    * Pinarello Grevil F with Campagnolo Ekar. This is a newer bike, and looks to be complete. Value here is about $4000-$4500.
    * Triatholon/TT bike, not to modern, Campagnolo Chorus. Not much value here. Tri bikes are *super* hard to sell, and this one is pretty old. You are looking at like $1000 bucks here if you can sell it at all.
    * Lynskey Titanium MTB, very cool bike. Older 11 speed Shimano XT, fork is in great condition. Very cool bike, made in America. 27.5 wheel size which is a downside in todays market, but still, I’d expect this to fetch around $1500-2000. It’s an older bike, I think it’s a 2016.
    * Ha! Older Dogma 65.1! This had back to back TDF wins, and this bike right here singlehandly made bikes designers build more comfort into the seat tubes because the damn thing was so stiff even the pros complained about it. I’m assuming Campagnolo Super Record 11 here, which is awesome. Not a tone of value but an insanely cool bike. If you really needed to sell it you could get $1500 for it, but I’m not sure if you could get much more. The group set is selling for around $1000 on ebay right now, frame you could maybe get $800 for. This if you wanted to part it out.
    * Bone stock 2022(?) Scott Addict 30 with R7020 Shimano 105. Great bike. Value is around $1200-1500 in the used market. Selling new now for around $2000.
    * Another very cool American made Titanium bike by Litespeed. Frame alone is worth $800ish. Easy $500 for the group. Nice bike, complete it’s be worth at least $1200.

I hope this helps. This prices are assuming private sale, piece by piece. It will take time, as the market is moving very slow right now. Wholesale, you are looking at like 50-60% market value if you wanted to unload these to a shop.

The best way to sell this is going to be craigslist.

sweat protector on a roller trainer?? you’re dad was definitely one of the realest dudes on 2 wheels, he REALLY cared about those things

  12. beartpc12293 on

Nothing. They’ll cost you money to sell. Ship them to me and I’ll take the loss for you

  13. RepresentativeCry365 on

i’d say the litespeed with the parts in it is worth $1,000-$1,200, the scott is worth $1,700-$2,000, the pinarello $2,000 or a bit more. the linskey i’m not too sure on, could be 1,700 or more or less

  14. Specialist-Falcon-84 on

Whatever you do, don’t sell them for what he told your mom they cost.

Your dad did not fuck around on his bicycles, sorry for your loss.

  15. My sincerest condolences on your loss. But really, dude…? I’m sure you know the value of that collection! With the number of photos you shared , it’s pretty obvious that you’re aware. Enjoy them all. Your dad had impeccable taste when it came to biking.

  16. Sorry to hear about your dad. It’s never easy, but be sure to know, he had great tastes in bikes.

  17. Jolly_Law7076 on

Some very nice bikes. Do thorough research before selling so you don’t get scammed.

    Good luck
