Once a year or every two years, I completely renovate a Brompton purely for my own enjoyment (despite the fact that it makes zero financial sense, but a hobby is a hobby, and you don’t really count the money). Based on my experience, they are very similar to today’s Bromptons, and honestly, I don’t feel the older versions have any disadvantages.

One of the things that attracted me to buying a C-Line last year is that Brompton haven’t changed the basic design much over the years, and that gives me a warm fuzzy feeling about future maintainability, and that I won’t be lusting over an upgrade.
