I heard people talk about how much difference lighter wheels make. I didn’t want to switch to lighter tyres because there is no better tyre than GLH and I never get flats.
I was bored at work and wanted to see the famous aliexpress tubilitos. I found an offer for 2 ride now tpu tubes for £7 with free shipping.
Total weight reduction on both wheels is exactly 201g.
You can see the photos of my wheels before and after switching the tubes. Both before and after are pumped to 50psi.

That’s almost half a pound!
I always run thin tubes and light tires but never tried the tubolitos because of the price and puncture ability. Maybe I’ll give them a shot and cross my fingers
We sell these Instore, overall they’re no better or worse than a regular tube, they’re not stronger, but definitely lighter. Rrp is £15 normally which is quite a bit more than a regular tube but still half the price of the og branded tubolito tubes.
Thrown on a set of foldable tyres as well and even more weight is lost for not insanity money.
I got those ride now tubes Schrader valve. Pumping them is huge resistance on the pump because the valve hole is really small. (I had a flat and cut it up to take a look inside). Did you have the same resistance when pumping them up?
