The rim in case is a Taurus Ryde ERTRO 584×21. Their page mentions it’s built for tube. I taped the rim with 2 layers of Gorilla Tape and pulled the tire to be al close as possible to the edge of the rim. I have inflated the tire without any sealant initially (with a hand pump) and even though the tire was not fitted perfectly, I managed to pump it up to 2.4 bar. But, if I have pressed the tire margin near the rim, air got out.
Because of this, I am afraid that it might be not the best choice to go tubeless with this rim.
What are your thoughts?
P.S: The tire is brand new and is a Specialized Ground Control Grid.

Hooked rims are very safe with good sealant proper psi
Yep, looks ok to me.
It’ll be fine. You can always ghetto tubeless it if needed
From memory, a ‘tubeless ready’ rim just has a fully welded seam on an alloy rim rather than just pinned. Which lets air escape through the join if you haven’t completely taped it up the sides or filled the join with glue.
