Essa Shimanos new 8 speed group to cater more modern 11-40 and a 11-45t widerange cassette. Performance wise what you can expect from a cheaper group. Not very quiet and rattles a lot in certain chain lines. As a mechanic I’d describe it with “meh”.
I would use an Acera M3020 before that, much cheaper and does 42t 1x no problem also runs 2x.
I traveled 7000 km on shimano tourney. If properly adjusted and maintained I dont know why this will not work.
