I took a frame and made it my own and this is my "new" daily work bike.
I switch between fixed gear and single speed so i got a DJ freehub that's sorta like a fipflop hub cuz when i want fixed gear i take out the brake rotor, bolt the cog on, flip the wheel and off i go.
Stick welding isn't ideal for bike frames but it you take your time and be patient it works all right.

I like how you just wrapped the brake housing around the front instead of cutting it 😀 I always hate dealing with those hydraulic brakes. Makes my head hurt everytime
Nice work! I would weld a short piece of frame tubing between the seat stay and chainstay to triangulate it for strength. I have a GT single-speed frame like that. Disc brakes put a lot of stress, which, over time, can lead to failure.
I had an old (1987?) Giant road bike that had racing wheels, full radial front, radial/2X rear. Over time, the stiff wheels cracked the frame at the drive-side dropout. Disc brakes, over time, could do the same thing. I’m not telling you what to do, it’s your bike. It’s just that I’ve seen what can happen with certain mods is all. Peace.
