Gearing up for the Lake Pepin 3 speed tour. Gotta have a Sturmey Archer hub, but there's a 3 mile uphill climb. Each year, I try to engineer something that can climb. This year, it's a 1950ish Claud Butler track frame with 700c wheels, an alloy Sturmey Archer AW hub, a Huret suicide derailleur up front with a modern chain tensioner, 1940s Reynolds bars and an aero seatpost. just got the front derailleur functioniing. 29-65 inch gears and a snappy lightweight frame with 32mm Panaracer Paselas…. more work needed before May.

Why do you have a chain tensioner?
Claud’s looking better than ever. So clean it’s filthy.
Which bars are those? Soma? I’ve wanted grips for my Nitto “Albastache” bars but am having trouble finding ones that fit the 23mm “road” diameter.
