I’m looking at buying a bmx. However, I have the tendency to try out a discipline and drop it in little time. On Facebook marketplace, this is $50 aud and seems to only need grips and has the rear rims paint peeling off.

Also, I was thinking of maybe using it as a way to commute. I am aware that there is no brake but how important is it?

Not sure whether this is important but I have a decent past and experience with mtb.

Lastly, I apologise in advance if this goes against the rules about asking questions about beginner bikes. However, I wasn’t able to find the thread to post it in.

  1. Finally a decent $50 bike. I wouldn’t feel bad about buying that. Especially for 50$. Just know you’re gonna spend half the cost of the bike on parts to get it tight. 75$ in and you have a decent bike

As long as the frame and fork are solid.
How tall are you? Just asking to see if top tube on bike will be roomy enough to pedal and to ride comfortably.

That looks like quality kit. Those dropouts and head tube aren’t standard cheapo bits.
The chain is on upside down.

  4. Looks like a good deal, I would suggest buying brakes since riding brakeless for the first time is quite sketchy especially if you want to commute it from time to time.
