I’ve found a B’Twin Rafal 920 S, 27.5 carbon full suspension XC bike, probably around 8–10 years old, for €300 in Spain.
From what I can tell it has RockShox front and rear suspension and an older 2x SRAM drivetrain (looks like X0/X9 era).
The bike looks pretty clean for its age, and €300 seems cheap for a carbon full-suspension bike, but I’m a bit worried. The seller ssures me the bike had its manteinance done last year.
I mainly ride XC, light trails and long rides, so I’m wondering if this is still a solid buy in 2026 or if it could turn into a money pit.
Would you go for it at this price?
Anything specific I should inspect on the Rafal 920 S before buying?
Would appreciate any thoughts

No. It will be a money pit. “Maintenance” can be used very loosely. It will cost you that much at least to get the suspension serviced, if you can find someone to do it.
If you ride xc/light trail there is no reason to
O buy a full suspension. Just buy a decent hardtrail and youre good for years, you have less maintenance also and for someone its more fun. If you can wait to buy a bike try to save €700~ and buy a used 2023/2024 roscoe 7, they have 140mm rockshox, deore drivetrain and dropper post, NB: dont buy the more recente roscoe because they downgraded the components
I would, since i do all the shit myself, but If you want to get stuff services by a bike shop then its a money pit
