Hello, i just received these new maven base but i have an issue in the lever. There’s this pin that’s ”stuck” in the lever. It blocks the lever action and the oil can’t circulate. But if i push that pin and push it on the side, it kind of stays in between and then the oil can travel. But i’m affraid if i mount it like that it will go back into place and block my lever. Does anyone knows what it is and what should i do?

Call up Sram and talk to the tech support
Have you installed the hose yet? I’ve not yet installed a pair of mavens but their other brakes use a valve that stops fluid from leaking when the lever is disconnected from a hose. Installing the hose pressses on the valve and opens the system.
I would assume these use the same system
This is how sram brakes work.
When you tighten the compression nut it will “press” the olive and barb on the line into that and open the flow of oil
