Hello, friends! Join us as we cycle in Edinburgh for the first time. We stay off the main roads and stick to the former railway lines starting at The Shore to New Town to Trinity to Roseburn and Haymarket.

Thank you for watching ♡

  2. Gave you a hype. Lovely little video. Looked like so much fun & a lovely day charity browsing. I'm very jealous, I wish I lived there. Your so lucky. 💚😊

  3. Aw loved this, I used to be a nanny in that area and often walked the dog on the cycle paths… saw foxes too… 🦊both lunches looked so yummy 😊… also loved seeing the cats 🐱

  4. Lovely to see all the daffodils there😊looked like a fun day of exploring, I have never been on an electric bike so it would take me a while to get used to it too, like the idea of the bike doing the work for me😂nothing like a nice cuppa at the end of it❤

  5. Love your videos Shawna! I had visited Edinburgh in 2018 and it was one of my favorite vacation spots ever! I enjoy watching you visit bookshops and cafés. Have you ever been to the Deacon‘s house Cafe? It is off the Royal Mile on lawn market. I had a lovely breakfast there before visiting the castle. I hope I can visit again someday.

  6. Short vlogmas would be fun to look forward to watching …IF doing shorter ones, daily, wouldn't be too time consuming to edit, etc. Just a thought … fun to see you more !!

  7. I just returned from Edinburgh, which was my first visit, and it was so fun to see you bike through the same areas that I walked through just this week. The daffodils are amazing there, and there I saw lots of cyclists throughout the city. Thank you for taking us along with you!

  8. Hello Shawna! Oh that was such a fun and delightful vlog! The chatty and peaceful beginning was so nice, and then of course your cycling wandering was amazing! The maps were a fun addition too. I was thinking the same thing that the dedicated bicycle paths were wonderful. And then of course the ending was great too. Just a wonderful experience all the way around tagging along!

  9. It's one of the reasons why I adore living in the Netherlands. Riding bikes here is so common, and even biking on the roads is completely safe. More often than not, though, you will always have a bike path. It's pretty much the culture here! One of the perks of living here! I would be too scared to even consider biking in Edinburgh now 😂

  10. I've been meaning try the bikes out – I used the just eat bikes when they were around, particularly during covid as i wanted to avoid buses and lived in a flat overlooking the path at the newhaven end at the time so it was ideal. It said on the side of the bike that you get the first ride free, is that not the case?

  11. I really enjoyed this one! Your bike trip looked lovely and the scenery was gorgeous! I'm happy to say flowers are finally starting to bloom here in Cambridge, Boston too! 🙂 it's been a cold month, but today is actually very nice weather 🙂 Your friend seemed lovely company too 🙂 Can't wait for your next video! Also a daily vlog would be amazing, but of course I'll be happy whenever you upload! Take care and stay well 🙂 💘💜💛💚

  12. The Tim Key book (the one with the inscription you picked up) is really great. He has a series of books he has made with the designer Emily Juniper and they are all beautiful objects as well as fun reads.
