Been posting recent rides on my site lately – sharing what may be helpful from them here. Rode Breek near Asheville last week

Wolf Branch Trail

A good one to start with, or link into a bigger day. Wolf Branch runs through the flat stream bottom at the base of the ridge — mountain laurel tunnels, ferns, a few rocky sections and creek crossings. It's the kind of trail that feels easygoing but keeps you honest. Connects naturally into the upper elevation trails, so most riders pass through it at some point whether they mean to or not.

Green's Lick

The one everyone talks about at Bent Creek, and for good reason. nearly 800 feet over two and a half miles…loaded with rollers, berms, and enough loose rock to keep your attention. Not gnarly in the Pisgah sense, but speeds get up there fast. Earn it on the climb, then let it go on the way down. If you ride Bent Creek and skip Green's Lick, you did it wrong.

Ingles Field Gap

For when you want to earn it. Ingles Field Gap climbs up toward the Parkway and rewards the effort with views and a solid descent. This is where the experienced riders gravitate when they want more than flow

Something for Everyone

This is worth saying directly: Bent Creek is not just a mountain bike destination. It's a genuinely great outdoor area for anyone in your group, regardless of whether they ride.

Hikers have access to miles of forest trail. The North Carolina Arboretum sits right on the edge of the property — a legitimate destination on its own. The Blue Ridge Parkway is minutes away. If someone in your crew wants to explore on foot while you ride, Bent Creek makes that easy.

And when you're done — riders and non-riders alike — the post-ride situation is well handled.

Local Rec: Papa's & Beer

If you're wrapping up a ride and want a cold one and some tacos, Papa's & Beer is the move. Quick drive from the trailhead, solid spot for an after-ride debrief.
