First time trying fixed. Definitely terrifying at first but even a week later feeling a lot more comfortable. Swapped out the drop bars it came with for this short straight bar. Absolutely loving everything about the feel of fixed so far!

I’ve not yet seen a geared chainring which is fixed. Can’t say that anymore!! Enjoy the miles

As far as buying someone else’s conversion I’d say you did great. Beautiful frameset, the patina adds to it, awesome seatpost, and the og chainring is like a disguise haha. Cosmetically (if you desire) touch up the rear wheel to make it all black and remove the reflector. Then just fine tune it to your preferences and comfort!
