I've just arrived in Paris after 275km cycling from the coast, following the Avenue Verge route. I'd highly recommend it! lovely route with quaint villages, rolling hills and an amazing finish outside Notre Dame.

I got the train from London to Brighton, then cycled along the coast to Newhaven for the Ferry. Then a simple Eurostar back to Paris!

Happy to answer any questions, but all in all a lovely Brompton friendly route (except all the cobbles in central Paris😵‍💫 ).

  1. Fantastic! I did London to Paris many years ago on regular roads and it was pretty brutal even with the French drivers showing a bit more respect for cyclists than UK drivers do. But this route – it’s like paradise in comparison. Almost got me tempted to do the ride again 👍🏻 How long did you take to do the ride? Did you take all your stuff or have a friendly support car?

    Chapeau!

  2. Looks like a great ride. How long did it take it to cover ? Looking to do something similar on a long weekend this year as I’m not far from new haven.
