I keep running into these presta valves and they've been a pain to fill, thanks for the advice ill have to get an adapter. Although id like to point out that the type of Schrader valves you find on bikes are designed to withstand 145psi. Schrader also make steel versions which can withstand up to 5000psi. The only real advantage to a presta appears to be the thinner, longer stem with finer control of the air pressure, although they take longer to fill up and deflate due to the narrower stem.
Why advanced cyclists do not use valve caps?
The worlds most pointless invention
I want to find the guy who invented this over engineered garbage and then thought it was a good idea to put it on a bicycle and smack the 💩 out of him. Advantages are it’s skinny? What? It can withstand high pressure? It’s a bicycle not the fuel valve for a rocket ship. What are we doing people?
Must be an Apple product, valve adapter sold separately.
Just another way for the bicycle industry to be a royal PIA.
Thanks it helped
Must also be different presta valves, because mine doesn't look like that. Mine has a nut that sits tight against the rim and can be loosened.
Great to the point video. I need an adapter.. always Another F&CKING ADAPTEEERRR!!! 🙃 Thanks
Just got a free bike because a guy got a bike, it was presta, he didn't have a presta pump, never got around to getting the presta pump, never got into cycling, and now I got a free never ridden bike, lol.
I just tried this. When I tried to remove the adapter, part of the valve came off.
This was helpful as I'd only encountered Schrader valves and new bike has Presta.
Thanx
Yup we have re invented the wheel way to go techanolagia
