Hi cyclists, I re-waxed my chain after my ride today with silca drip wax. I stretched the chain crosswise so the wax would coat it evenly. After returning it to its original position, the chain was left hanging loosely. All the settings are as they were originally. The derailleur shifts smoothly through all gears. Do you know what might help?
I wanted to take the wheel off so I could see better, but I couldn't even do that trough the derailleur—or maybe I'm just too tired to think straight 😀

You need to rotate your derailleur backwards so the wheel can slip out.Â
Did you somehow change the B-tension?
You’re in both small rings. This is cross gearing and not a sensible gear to be in. Change gear and the chain should tighten up.
If it doesn’t tighten up enough, your cleaning may have removed some structural dirt, so now your chain has room to stretch out. You may need to remove a link.
You didn’t reinstall the rd correctly. You missed the tab on the b-link. It should point straight back not down at the ground. Very common and easy mistake
You likely never noticed your chain was a bit long, that or the b tension screw somehow ‘self adjuster’.
Start with adjusting the b tension.
I prefer to run a slightly longer chain, so from my side I would just run as is and avoid small/small.
Edit: I am wrong, b tension is fine. IGNORE this.
Maybe it’s just the angle, but is your rear disk really thin?
