I am a beginner—as in I learnt how to ride a bike this year. It’s only in the last 2 lessons that I was pedalling without falling.
My instructor is not always available and I have to hire the bike, so I want to bite the bullet and get myself something cheap to practise and gain confidence.
I just want to ride around my neighbourhood after work for 20-60 minutes. When I’ve gained more fitness, I will join weekend social rides in my city with my instructor.
I am a 100+ kg/200+ lb human so I need something strong and safe. I’ll definitely be getting a bike fit for comfort but if I do get the bike, what else would I need to get checked/adjusted on it?
I would appreciate any tips/thoughts you have to share 🙂
