Hi everyone,
Bike mechanic just replaced cockpit bearings (integrated stem/handlebar on road bike with CP0018 with internal routing). They were rusty.
Now:
– No play/slack: mechanic checked, no lateral movement.
– But turning the bars makes a scraping/grinding noise (video uploaded), especially on slow turns. Doesn't turn super smooth, feels some friction/resistance.
Is this normal for new bearings? Will it bed in after some miles?
Or bad install (not enough grease, overtightened, dirty…)?

No that is not normal. Maybe a bad install.
