I’m working on my mountain bike, which I’m brand new too, but the bike seat is too high up and I can’t lower it any further. So does anyone know an mtb that is cheap but comfortable? The stock one was super uncomfortable
If you can’t lower the seat any more the bike is probably too big for you. You can attempt to have the seat post cut down if the reach is somehow fine… but IMO that seat looks like it could go a lot lower.

A thinner saddle will help. Saddles are very personal and what works for others will not necessarily work for you.
If you need the seat lower, the seatpost can be cut shorter so the seat can go lower. Chances are the seat post is bottoming out on a bolt that is holding that pump/multi tool.

Seat posts come in diameter and length. The length will often have a min. Insertion line.
If you pull the seat post out its most likely marked with the diameter and sometimes the length. Written liken 30.9×400 or 31.9 x 400. First numbe ib my example is diameter.
A thinner seat, almost anything by ergon.

Terry Saddles are great!

Is the seat too high for you to reach the pedals or too high for you to sit and have your feet on the ground?
