Hello there,

I'm currently thinking about buying a Grizl CF 7 ESC.

According to Canyon’s size chart, at 178 cm (32.5 in) and an 82.5 cm (5’10.1 in) inseam, I fall exactly between sizes S and M.

Now I’m really undecided.

The bike will mainly be used for bikepacking long distances in all kinds of conditions but also occasionally for classic gravel rides.

I briefly tried the bike in size M once, and it was okay. But unfortunately, I couldn’t ride long enough to really assess everything. The standover height is fine—just barely… but it fits.

I found the old Grizl frame, like the one on the Grizl 6, to be a good fit in size M. The one on the new model seemed a bit bigger to me.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to try size S.

And yes, I’m willing to swap out the handlebars so I can install standard handlebars with a shorter or longer stem.

Greetings 🙂

Always the smaller one. (I did it wrong)
To be fair, the larger version might be better for long tours, but I’m bothered by the fact that the sporty riding experience is somewhat lost..
    Large: comfort
    Smaller: sport

I’m very similarly dimensioned. Got the M, rode it for a week, swapped it for the S. Save yourself the hassle and get the S!
